Why Do We Ask for Your Support?
CCD has become a known, accepted “spokesgroup” for the values
and vision that the citizens of Columbia
and the surrounding area expressed so eloquently during the first day of the Charrette
in October, 2005. By speaking with one voice, the community has had more
power and influence in this process and has become the “third
leg” on this issue, commensurate with the elected officials on the one
hand and with GGP and the rest of the development industry on the other. The
more people we represent, the more powerful our voice…your
voice…becomes!

What Will We Be Asking of You?
From time to time, we will be contacting you to…
- Share information
about what is going on in Downtown development.
- Invite you to forums,
teach-ins, speakers, and other gatherings so that you can learn more
about these issues and so that you can share your knowledge and
opinions.
- Let you know how we
believe you can be helpful in making your voice heard, such as by
e-mailing elected officials to let them know you support what the
Coalition stands for.
- Ask you what is
important to you so that we can more accurately reflect, represent, and
advocate for the values for which we believe the community stands.
Privacy Policy
Your name will be added to our list of supporters on this website, unless
you request anonymity. (Our preference is that you allow us to use your name,
so that those we hope to influence have a sense of who we are and have a way
to validate the number of supporters we say we speak for.) We will not,
however, share your phone, address, e-mail address, or any of your contact
information with any other person or group without your express permission.
